Jabez Cow Ministry

Our Cow Ministry is small yet highly successful, and has been running for many years in both Bali in Indonesia and the Philippines.

The idea first came from Tina, the leader at the East Bali orphanage, who suggested that we purchase a baby cow at lower rates to be raised and fed into a healthy adult cow, to increase their selling value.

By the Lord’s grace, we met with a family from New Zealand who was willing to partner with Jabez Ministries to make our Cow Ministry happen, and they sponsored us with the capital required for the initial cow purchase.

After we secure the cow, we delegated to the older boys from the orphanage the responsibility to feed and take care of this cow, ensuring its health and maintenance. After a period of 14 months, we sold the adult cow for a substantial profit. The funds earned are used to purchase more cows, and the cycle starts again.

The extra revenue from our sales is always sown back into the orphanage. This ministry has been running for years, with many cows purchased, raised and sold to help fund the Orphanage’s daily needs and projects.

Seeing the success of this Ministry in Bali inspired us to extend this further to a poor, rural area in the Philippines, which is overseen by a local farmer accountable to Jabez Ministries.
